Interpersonal touching transfers information between individuals through haptic sensorimotor mechanisms. When physical therapists interact with patients, they use these haptic cues to guide patients through different therapies. The overall objective of this project was to understand the information transfer between two people when there is a physical interaction during standing, with an application towards balance therapy. Saskia Steinl was a Co-Principal Investigator.
