It is known that injury and discomfort are related to prolonged walking, a significant ergonomic problem in the workplace. Comfort and fatigue during prolonged upright postures were compared across traditional floors and currently developed flooring products. Subjects underwent a long-term walking protocol on different flooring surfaces while force plate data were collected. The findings of this research increased the knowledge of flooring while walking.
